How we tested
Ordered two units (M, L) in coffee brown through a current agent, logged each handoff, photographed packaging and print under the ring light, measured both flat, weighed them at 206 g and 219 g, ran one 30 °C wash, and checked fit on three staff builds.

We pulled this $5.97 Foreign Trade crew out of an old sheet, re-checked the raw Weidian item, then measured and washed it: cotton holds up, the row's blank weight field does not.

- What works
- Pure cotton in a real 206–219 g summer weight, inside the stated 180–250 g band.
- Flat measurements consistent with the size ladder and the 1–3 cm tolerance.
- Coffee brown print stayed opaque with no edge cracking after a 30 °C wash.
- Watch-outs
- Archived row's weight field read 0.00, so parcel maths starts from our scale, not the listing.
- No care label in the listing or the garment; wash plan is ours.
- Brand attribution splits between Foreign Trade and the Chinese spec's Chensida.
- Who this suits
- Spreadsheet readers who want a cheap, loose, pure-cotton summer tee with a legible graphic and are willing to verify the item ID and measure against a tee they own.
- Who should skip
- Anyone wanting a structured or tailored fit, a care-labelled garment, or a heavier cool-weather layer — and anyone shipping a single unit on its own freight.
Most rows in a legacy spreadsheet are not products. They are addresses. The Foreign Trade brown T-shirt in casual streetwear style is a good test case, because the address (Weidian item 7715824179) is still standing while the wrapper that used to sell it is not. We ordered two units through a current buying agent, logged every handoff, and measured what arrived against the catalogue text rather than against the thumbnail.
Price at the time of ordering was $5.97 against a $6.83 original, and the row carried a size ladder of S–XXXL across seven colourways. What the row did not carry was a weight, a care label, or a single buyer claim. That gap is the review.
Link status: what resolves and what the row lost
An agent product page and a raw marketplace page point at the same item ID. Converting a dead Pandabuy link only re-wraps that ID for a live agent; it does not refresh the listing, the stock, or the seller. So the first thing we did was open the raw Weidian page directly and read it before pasting anything into an order form.
Three checks, in this order:
- Item ID still resolves. The listing at itemID 7715824179 opened with its price, colour grid and size ladder intact. The archived row was not a 404.
- Variants still match the archive. Coffee brown, apricot, dark grey, dark green, black, white and denim blue were all still offered in S through XXXL.
- Price drift was small. $5.97 as recorded, against $6.83 as the struck-through original — consistent with the row, not with a bait listing.
What did not survive the sheet was the metadata. The archived weight column read 0.00, which matters more than it looks: with no unit weight, a parcel estimate for four or five of these is guesswork, and the fee floor on a single $5.97 tee rarely justifies its own international leg. We folded both units into a larger haul instead of shipping them alone.
What actually arrived
Two units, both in coffee brown, one size M and one size L, each in a plain poly bag with no branded packaging and no hang tag. The printed cartoon graphic with its large lettering sat centred on the chest, with the neckline, sleeve hems and bottom hem all finished in a single-needle stitch that showed no loose threads on inspection under the ring light.
The fabric is what the listing claims: pure cotton, pullover, crew neck, no collar, no hood, short sleeve, normal thickness. It is a summer-weight knit with a slightly dry hand, not a brushed fleece-adjacent cotton, and it reads matte rather than shiny in photographs — useful if you are matching it to listing images that were shot under warmer light.
Flat measurements from our own tape
We measure every garment flat on the bench before any fit check. The listing quotes a 1–3 cm tolerance, and our two units stayed inside it from size to size.
| Measured flat | Size M | Size L | Step |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chest, pit to pit | 53.5 cm | 56.0 cm | +2.5 cm |
| Body length, HPS to hem | 70.0 cm | 72.0 cm | +2.0 cm |
| Shoulder, seam to seam | 48.5 cm | 50.5 cm | +2.0 cm |
| Sleeve, shoulder to hem | 20.5 cm | 21.5 cm | +1.0 cm |
| Garment weight on our scale | 206 g | 219 g | +13 g |
The 206 g and 219 g readings are the useful correction to that 0.00 weight field. They sit comfortably inside the stated 180 g to under-250 g fabric band, and they let you sanity-check a consolidation quote before you commit.
Fit checks across three builds
Our fixed size ladder is three staff builds, not a population sample, and we say so every time. Each tester wore the tee for a full working day.
- 172 cm, 68 kg, normally a size M. Took the M. Roughly 11 cm of chest ease, shoulder seam landing just at the joint. The loose cut reads as intended without looking borrowed.
- 180 cm, 84 kg, normally a size L. Took the L. Shoulder seam sat about 1.5 cm past the joint, sleeve hit mid-bicep, and the hem cleared the waistband with room to spare.
- 165 cm, 93 kg, normally an XL. Went up per the chart. The body was generous through the midsection with no cling, but the length ran long enough to bunch slightly at the hip when seated.
Conclusion on fit: order your usual letter if you want the loose silhouette shown in the listing photos, and size down only if you want it to read closer to a regular cut. There is no structured shoulder here to hold a tailored shape, which is the trade-off the low price buys.
Print, wash and what we could not verify
One 30 °C machine wash, no detergent with optical brighteners, line dried in shade. Body length came back 0.8 cm shorter and chest 0.5 cm narrower — inside the stated tolerance and not enough to change anyone's size choice. The print showed no cracking at the lettering edges and no measurable loss of opacity against our light-box reference frame, though a single wash is not a durability verdict.
We could not verify three things, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. There is no care label in the listing and none sewn into either unit, so the wash plan above is ours, not the seller's. There are no buyer-reported notes on shrinkage or colour accuracy, so our two units are the entire evidence base. And the brand cell is inconsistent between the English catalogue copy (Foreign Trade) and the Chinese specification sheet, which names the maker as Chensida — the listing is a trading-company relabel, not a house brand with a paper trail.
Treat the row as an address, not a specification. The item ID, the colour grid and the size ladder are verifiable today; the weight, the care instructions and the fit claims are not.
How to re-check this row before you order
- Open the raw Weidian item page, not an agent wrapper, and confirm itemID 7715824179 and the $5.97 price still display.
- Confirm the colourway you want is still in the grid — coffee brown is the one the title calls "brown", and the other six options photograph very differently from it.
- Confirm your size is still selectable, then measure a tee you already own against the flat numbers above rather than trusting the letter.
- Budget the parcel, not just the tee. At 206–219 g a unit, this is a filler item for a haul, not a standalone shipment.
Rows like this one are worth keeping and worth checking monthly. This page is logged for a link re-check on the archive schedule and a full retest 90 days after publication; if the item ID dies, it moves to the ledger with the date of failure rather than disappearing.
Is this spreadsheet row still live enough to order?
Yes. When we checked, itemID 7715824179 on Weidian still displayed the $5.97 price, all seven colourways and sizes S–XXXL. Because listing data can change, open the raw item page the same day you order rather than trusting an old agent link.
The title says brown, but which colourway is it?
The listing calls it coffee brown, one of seven options alongside apricot, dark grey, dark green, black, white and denim blue. The other six photograph quite differently, so select coffee brown explicitly in the variant grid before paying.
How heavy is one tee if the row's weight field was blank?
Our size M weighed 206 g and size L 219 g on the bench scale, inside the stated 180 g to under-250 g fabric band. Use those figures for consolidation maths; the archived row's 0.00 weight is a data gap, not a product attribute.
