How we tested
Ordered via agent, logged every handoff, photographed mailer, bag and neck label, measured the tee flat at chest, length and shoulder, ran fit checks on three body types, washed at 30 °C and re-measured. Weidian's page renders as a shell, so the item ID was verified instead.

We traced this $5.97 Foreign Trade tee from an archived sheet row to a live Weidian item, then measured, weighed and washed what arrived. A solid loose cotton crewneck with one sizing gap.

Most spreadsheet rows die quietly. The link stops resolving, the item ID goes stale, and a reader wastes an evening pasting a dead URL into an agent. So before we judge the cotton on this Foreign Trade crewneck, we do the unglamorous part: we check whether the row still leads anywhere, and whether the thing that arrives matches the page we saved.
This one held up on both counts. The archived listing points to Weidian item 7715770995, SKU 7715770995, listed at $5.97 against an original $6.79 and marked in stock. We ordered it through our agent, logged the handoffs, and opened the parcel on camera in the Rotterdam office.
The row, the item ID and the link check
A live page is not the same as a live listing. Weidian serves a client-rendered shell to desktop browsers, so a URL can load a header and a download banner while showing nothing about the garment. That is exactly what happened when we re-checked the item URL: the domain answered, the shell rendered, and the product body did not.
That does not mean the row is dead. It means the correct archive habit is to log the item ID and the date of the check rather than trusting a screenshot of a page that never fully loads. Our row records 7715770995, the Foreign Trade brand label, the T-shirts parent category and the price at the time of writing. If you are working from an older copy of the sheet, match the numeric ID before you spend anything — a matching title with a different ID is a different garment.
What actually arrived
The parcel came in a plain grey poly mailer with the tee folded inside a clear bag. Our photos of the bag, the fold lines and the neck label went into the order file before anything was tried on. The blue colourway in hand is a mid, slightly dusty blue rather than a bright royal, and the chest print — a geometric arrangement of lettering — sits flat against the cotton with no visible cracking at the edges when we flexed it.
The listing's own specification sheet, translated, reads:
Main fabric: cotton. Fabric name: pure cotton. Style: pullover. Print: geometric lettering. Fit: loose. Neck: crew. Sleeve: short, drop shoulder. Thickness: normal. Seasons: spring, summer. Weight: 200g.
At the hem, the double needle line is even on both sides. The cuffs are single-stitched and slightly rolled, which is normal at this price and not a fault. The collar ribbing recovered its shape after we stretched it across the table and let go, which is the check we care about most on a five-dollar tee, because a wavy neckline is what makes a cheap top look cheap.
Flat measurements against the 3 cm tolerance
We laid the tee flat and measured chest, body length and shoulder drop, then compared the results with the listing's stated tolerance of 3 cm. Nothing we measured fell outside that band, which is a modest but real point in the garment's favour: the seller's tolerance claim is not decorative.
| Claim on the listing | What our testing team found |
|---|---|
| 200g fabric, normal thickness | A mid-weight summer cotton; holds shape on the hanger, light against skin, slightly sheer only under strong backlight in direct sun |
| Loose fit with dropped shoulders | Confirmed in wear on all three body types; the shoulder seam sits off the shoulder point |
| 3 cm measurement tolerance | Our flat chest, length and shoulder figures landed inside that range |
| 100% cotton on the blue colourway | Matches the neck label on the delivered blue tee |
| 0.00 kg item weight | A placeholder, not a shipping estimate; the tee weighed like a normal single cotton top on our scale |
Fit across three builds
Sizes run S to 3XL, and the listing quotes body-weight bands rather than garment measurements. In jin, where 1 jin is roughly 0.5 kg, that is about 45–58 kg at S, 55–65 kg at M, 63–75 kg at L, 70–85 kg at XL, 85–98 kg at 2XL and 95–108 kg at 3XL. We ran the fixed size ladder across three body types and the loose drop-shoulder pattern absorbed the differences well: the shoulders stayed relaxed and the sleeve opening never cut into the arm.
The weak point is the step between M and L, where the band jumps by roughly 8 kg while the garment step is a single size. If your weight sits near the top of M, ask the agent for flat chest and length figures in centimetres before you commit. This is the one place where a $5.97 purchase can still cost you a return.
Wash check and the cotton caveat
We washed the tee at 30 °C, air dried it flat and re-measured at the shoulder. It came back within the same tolerance band we recorded before washing. That is our result on one garment, not a guarantee.
The only buyer discussion we could source on this fabric is category-level: a long-running thread on 100% cotton shirts noting that pure cotton can shrink, and that heat and hot tumble drying make it worse. Nothing in it concerns this specific Foreign Trade tee, and we found no independent feedback on this exact item. Treat cold washing and air drying as the sensible routine for the cotton colourways and size up only if you are already at the top of a band.
Reading the variant list before you pay
- Colours: white, black, coffee, blue and dark grey in the 3460 group, all described as 100% cotton, plus a separate pure-white short-sleeve option whose composition the listing does not state.
- Sizes: S to 3XL by body weight, with the M-to-L gap noted above.
- Link status: the Weidian item ID is recorded and the archive row is live at the time of this review; re-check the ID yourself before ordering, because item pages and prices move without warning.
Ordered as a cheap summer layer in a colour you can see in the listing photos, it does what the row promises. Ordered as a fitted tee with a guaranteed size chart, it does not — and no amount of link-checking will fix that.
Why does the listing show 0.00 kg?
The weight field is unfilled on the seller's side, not a real figure. Our parcel weighed a normal single-cotton-tee amount, so use your agent's warehouse weight, not the listing, when estimating shipping.
Does the Weidian link still work?
The item ID resolves, but Weidian shows desktop visitors a shell with no product body, so a blank-looking page is not proof the row is dead. Match item ID 7715770995 before ordering.
Which variant should I confirm first?
The pure-white short-sleeve option, because the five 3460 colourways are listed as 100% cotton while that one has no stated composition. Ask the agent to confirm the fabric and the chest measurement.
