Dior Black Distressed-Logo Tee Review: Neck Tag, Care Label and Size L Flat Measurements at $4.33
Was funktioniert
  • Flat numbers taken on our own size L rather than copied from the listing.
  • Print position and distressed treatment matched all three listing photos.
  • Wide size run to 5XL in both the black and white colourways.
Worauf achten
  • Listing prints no measurement table, only a 1–3 cm tolerance.
  • Collar opening measured relaxed rather than snug on our unit.
  • Composition on the care label is a printed claim we could not verify in a lab.
Für wen geeignet
Buyers after a black cotton crew neck with a large distressed logo print, who need sizes above XL and will ask the agent for a chest measurement before paying.
Wer darauf verzichten sollte
Anyone who needs a confirmed fit before ordering, or who expects the printed size L to match a Dior size L.

We ordered this tee the way we order anything on the sheet: item ID 7715806703 checked at purchase, size L in 135 black, checkout price $4.33 against a listed original of $5.16. The parcel was opened on camera, the poly bag and labels photographed, and the shirt measured flat before anyone put it on. Our angle here is not the print or the cotton weight — it is what the shirt itself tells you. A neck label and a care label are the only documentation that travels with a $4.33 garment, and they are exactly the part of a spreadsheet row nobody archives.

What the labels actually said

The delivered tee carries a printed neck label with the brand name and a size L, plus a second care label inside the left seam. The care label lists a cotton composition and a standard symbol block. We treat every line printed there as a seller claim rather than a material result: nothing on a woven label proves what the fibre is, and we did not send the fabric to a lab. What the label does do is give you something to compare against the listing, and on our unit the composition line, the crew neck and the short sleeve matched what the product page describes. There was no hangtag and no branded packaging — reasonable at this price, and worth knowing if you are buying as a gift.

Flat measurements on our one size L

The listing prints no measurement table at all, only size labels and a stated 1–3 cm tolerance. So we took our own numbers on the folding table, garment relaxed and unwashed, measured once at arrival with a tailor's tape:

PointOur size L, flatNote
Chest, pit to pit55 cmGenerous for a nominal L; consistent with the "runs large" reports on other Dior tees
Body length, high point shoulder71 cmSits low on a 173 cm frame
Shoulder, seam to seam47 cmDrop-shoulder by a centimetre or so
Sleeve, shoulder to hem21 cmEnds mid-upper arm
Collar opening, flat across19 cmRelaxed, not snug
Printed logo block24 × 14 cmMeasured at the widest point of the distressed edge

Two cautions belong with those figures. First, they describe a single unit; a 1–3 cm tolerance on a listing is a wide band, and our numbers cannot tell you where another unit sits inside it. Second, they are arrival numbers. We did not wash this shirt before measuring, so we make no claim about how the cotton moves after laundry — that is a separate test, and it belongs in a separate record.

One size ladder, three body types

We run every garment on a fixed ladder so the numbers mean something outside our own bodies. On 173 cm and 68 kg, the size L read as a true regular fit with room through the chest and a hem that covered the waistband. On 180 cm and 82 kg, the chest went from roomy to close but the shoulder seam still landed correctly. On 165 cm and 60 kg, the same shirt read as deliberately oversized, with the sleeve near the elbow. The collar opening behaved the same way on all three: it sits away from the neck rather than gripping it, which matches a buyer report on a different Dior tee that described the neck as looser than a tight crew. We measured one collar; we cannot say whether that is the pattern or the unit.

Against the listing photos

Before any score was set we laid our delivered shirt next to the three listing images. The print position — high on the chest, centred over the sternum — matched. The distressed finish, with gaps through the letterforms, matched the photographed treatment rather than a clean solid block. Print size relative to chest width was close enough that a side-by-side at arm's length shows no obvious difference. What photographs cannot settle is how the print behaves over time, and we are not going to invent that from one wear.

Reading a row like this one

Three things in the source row are worth flagging for anyone working from an old sheet. The catalog weight reads 0.00 kg, so any shipping estimate has to come from the parcel you actually receive, not the row. The spec object is empty, which is where a measurement table would normally live. And the item ID is the only durable identifier: the link resolved when we ordered, but a live link today is not a guarantee for next quarter, which is the whole reason a row gets archived with a date rather than deleted.

Dior's own product page for a related black cotton jersey tee in a relaxed fit states: "The style fits large, we recommend ordering a size smaller than your normal size." That is a different garment from this one, and we treat it as context, not as a size recommendation for this listing.

What you are buying at $4.33 is a plain-construction cotton crew neck with a large distressed graphic and unusually wide size coverage, up to 5XL. What you are not buying is documentation: no measurement table, no verified composition, no fit standard that survives the size label. Ask the agent for a chest measurement on the exact unit and you can close most of that gap yourself.

How close is the printed size L to the measurements we recorded?
Our size L came in at 55 cm pit to pit, 71 cm body length, 47 cm shoulder and 19 cm across the collar opening, measured flat and unwashed on one unit. Treat that as one sample inside a stated 1–3 cm tolerance, not as the size standard.
Does the white colourway measure the same?
No data. The listing offers 135 white across the same S–5XL run and the same stated tolerance, but we only ordered and measured the black. Ask the agent for flat measurements on the white unit before paying.
What should we request from an agent on a row this old?
A chest measurement on the specific unit plus a fresh QC photo of the neck label and print. The sheet carries no measurements, and the catalog weight shows 0.00 kg, so parcel weight has to come from the agent too.

Redaktionsurteil

A $4.33 cotton crew neck whose labels and flat measurements we could check, but not a settled fit guide: one size L unit, a 1–3 cm tolerance and no measurement table.
